School food has improved dramatically in recent years. Revised school food standards (which came into force January 2015) make it simpler for schools to make sure children eat a range of foods across the week – including a selection of wholegrain options, fruit-based desserts and a variety of vegetables and sources of protein. And most importantly, enjoy food that looks and tastes delicious!

School meals help children eat better and do better. They encourage children to get into healthy eating habits, give them the energy and nutrition they need across the whole school day and help them concentrate and learn.
